President’s Message for January 2010I hope everyone had a good holiday and is looking forward to the new year.
For myself looking back over the past year there have been some rough times with a few better ones tossed in here and there. The economy still not back to what it was has a glimmer of hope every now and then but is still really off for most of us.
I was actually not looking forward to the holidays at all this year, money is tight, Paul and I seem to be on the go all the time with one project or another. We have a spot at a local Flea Market every Saturday and another one at a local antique shop that is open Thursday through Sunday, plus eBay, Amazon selling and working on web site designs. I had gotten to the point of just wanting them over as quick as could be done.
Well for myself starting everything off with the first edition of the newsletter that I was doing then the Yankee Swap night was beginning of some fun.
Paul and I went to our neighbors house on Christmas Eve (the one's who puppy sit for us sometimes) for a great dinner. Getting to see some of the people we have become friends with through them was great as well.
Christmas day we headed up to HOBO's is Salisbury for their Breakfast Buffet, a nice start to the day together.
At 2pm we were to be at my parents home in Melrose for Dinner. Dinner went much better than expected and Mom did a great job at everything as usual.
Christmas night we headed up to Hampton Falls to our friends Brian and Mark's house for Dinner and Drinks. A wonderful Dinner and a great time.
After we got home Paul and I were able to spend some quiet time together and relax in each others arms after a long day of travel and eating.
I am looking forward to the year ahead in hopes that it will be much better for all of us.
Thank you,
Bill
