President’s Message for AprilSouth of the Border!!
If you have never taken a winter vacation to a warmer climate I strongly recommend that you try to.
I and a couple of friends just spent a week in beautiful Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and it was simply wonderful. Eighty-five to eighty-eight degrees everyday and endless sun. Who could ask for more? Not mention an endless parade of dark and swarthy handsome men.
The locals are very friendly and the service in all of the restaurants and beaches was exquisite. I strongly recommend that everyone working in the service industry in the United States spend a couple of months in Puerto Vallarta to learn what service is all about.
What a pleasant surprise to come home to a week of very nice sunny weather. That was my biggest fear, coming home to cold and dreary weather. Let's hope that this may turn into a long lost glorious spring in New England.
The crocus and daffodils are sprouting up all around the house and a lot of bulbs that we forgot what they are are popping up as well.
I am hoping for a glorious hot and steamy summer in every sense of the word. The board is busy working on our annual cruise to the Isles of Shoals and it looks like that will be pretty steamy as well.
Before I forget, I want to thank everyone that donated and participated in our annual auction. We raised a record-breaking $900!! Thank you very much.
Get out your summer frocks and get ready for a great summer!!
Until the next time, be well, be happy and be good to yourselves.
Joe
