President’s Message for FebruaryVD PROGRAM HUGE SUCCESS!!
No, we didn't all get it, we just had a lot of fun playing TABOO. Bill did a wonderful job preparing and executing the game. There were a few people I wanted to execute during the game but that is another story.
Ozzie won the candy contest coming up with the closest guess for the number of candies in the vase. I don't know if anyone else has noticed but Ozzie seems to have incredible luck at winning prizes!
Jeremy certainly appeared to be an expert on VD! For those of you who were not there, a little explanation is in order. TABOO was a wordgame with most of the words and clues related to Valentine's day. Like, love, kiss, caress and divorce!
We also talked about the plans the programming committee have started in preparation for our 30th Anniversary Celebration. They have a tentative date of November 21st and are working with a restaurant with function facilities to get the best price and menu we can for this important event.
The board and the programming committee are committed to making this event very reasonably priced. We want as many past and present SGMers as possible to attend. There will be one price for members, attendees and guests. We will be offering a small add-on to the price to non-members who would like to become members with full member benefits.
There will be a lot more information to come from your programming committee regarding the anniversary celebration. If you have any ideas or suggestion for the event let one of the programming committee members know. In case you don't know who they are, here are their names: Vice president Jason Morin, Bill Mokeler, Paul Mazgelis (pronounced: mazjellis :), Jasper Salach and Ozzie Annis.
That's all for now. Until next time...think SPRING!!
Joe
