President’s Message for July

THE COUNTDOWN IS ON!!

By the time you read this it will be only days until we sail into the harbor! We could be looking at record turnout for the cruise. People are talking about it and with our incredible Grand Prize for the raffle...who knows, we may have to rent a dingy or two.

So keep spreading the word and selling those tickets and we will all have a blast.

I was going to talk about the funding crisis at ARS in this article but most of you should have received my “little note” via the FunList and you would realize it was too long for the newsletter. Nevertheless, I want to encourage all of you to think how we as a group, you as an individual, can help the agency in their critical work. They need to know that they have friends that will help them in their efforts.

We can support them by going to the annual auction in August, volunteering to help at the auction and/or volunteering directly to the agency.

I know this is short but you all have heard a lot from me already this weekend.
