President’s Message for March

The Ides of March!

This is the time of the year they murdered Caesar! If I can get through the next couple of weeks I should be safe. Oh no, I forgot the murder mystery on the 24th! But that's my birthday I couldn't be assassinated then. Could I?

As I write this I can see you all scurrying around your attic, your basement and safedeposit boxes looking for treasures for our fabulous annual auction which will have happened by the time you read this. I hope next month I will be able to report record-breaking income from the auction.

Also, as I write this, it is flurrying again! How lovely, not!! But spring is just around the corner and by Friday the 21st (the first day of spring) I am sure the sun will be blazing in the sky and the crocuses (or croci for the latin buffs) and daffodils will burst forth filling the air with the first sweet smells of spring!

Well, maybe not as dramatic as all that but we could actually reach temperatures in the 50s, right?
