President’s Message for JanuaryCan someone tell me again why we live in New England??
I know, you like the four seasons, the foliage is beautiful in the fall, blah, blah, blah. Well I for one would like the four seasons divided a little differently. Perhaps four months for spring, six months for summer, one month for fall and one month for winter. That I could live with. I'd like to be hot and sweaty for longer than the two weeks of summer we usually have. Why do you think Latinos are so sexy? (Or is it just me that thinks that?) They are hot and sweaty all the time.
So it must be obvious that we cancelled the meeting for the 14th because of the lovely winter we are currently experiencing. (Thank you, mother #$%&ing nature!) We felt it would have been too treacherous traveling to the meeting even though the snow stopped. Chances are that some of the roads would have been pretty bad not to mention the parking problems in Portsmouth on a good day. I know I didn’t finish snow blowing my driveway until 6:30.
We are almost into the second month of the new year and I haven’t broken a single new year’s resolution. Of course I didn’t make any new year’s resolutions because I am fine just the way I am. Only my opinion of course.
Not much to report at this point in the year. Programming is going exceptionally well, there are very few openings left. Who knows, by the time you get this newsletter there may not be any openings. Thank you programming committee.
Just a reminder that we have our board meetings the second Tuesday of the month at 6:15 and you are all invited to attend and see what the board does and it would be a great time to tell the board what you might like us to do (be nice), what we are doing right or wrong.
That’s it for now. Be well, be happy and be good to yourself!
Joe
