President’s Message for June

Happy Pride!

SGM was well represented at both Boston Pride and Portland Pride. Kudos to Brian and Tom for doing such a great job of gaying up their convertible for Boston, and for setting up our booth in Portland. In Boston we marched in the parade and had no booth, while in Portland we didn’t march and did have a booth. This arrangement actually worked out quite well. Watch out for next year, though: Jay has all sorts of plans up his sleeves for having a “Seacoast Pride” float in Boston, sharing the expenses and responsibilities with other organizations in Portsmouth and Ogunquit. We should be quite a hit.

Last Monday’s (June 11) program was a lot of fun, as a group of us strolled over to Prescott Park to attend a rehearsal for The Sound of Music, in which our own Joshua is performing. Be sure to keep Saturday, August 4, open for our annual Picnic in the Park. Jay has reserved the rotunda on Four Tree Island for the whole afternoon, and then we’ll migrate to Prescott Park that evening to see The Sound of Music.

But before then, there’s the annual Sunset Cruise on Sunday, July 22. I recently realized that my new career requires me to be away that weekend, and every new detail that Jay tells me makes me sadder and sadder that I won’t be there to enjoy the festivities with all of you. Do be sure to go, though—you’ll have an amazing time. Tickets are selling fast, and we have only 300 of them, so don’t dawdle. And remember, prices go up July 1, anyway.

By the time you read this, my Member Spotlight will already have taken place. For those of you who were able to attend, my sincere hope is that you received at least one helpful idea to bring your life to the next level. For everyone else, you can check out demystifyingprosperity.com to get an idea of what I talked about. Feel free to contact me; my door is always open to other truth-seekers.

Until next month, be out, be proud, and warm up!
