What if I'm not "Out" to anyone?

Typical SGM attendees comprise a broad spectrum of men. For some, SGM was their first openly attended gay event. For many it is less threatening than a bar. It is also safer than some of the alternative meeting places gay men frequent. Attendees also cover a wide range of ages. Except at special functions like our Friends and Family picnic, or when youth-based organizations are presenting, we do require that attendees (and members) be at least 18, but there is no upper limit.

At your first meeting, you will be met by one of our friendly greeters. Don't be afraid to let them know that you are new and that you might feel a bit uncomfortable. They'll point you in the right direction.

If you still have doubts, or are unsure about what is expected, feel free to contact us. All inquiries will be answered promptly.
