Is SGM a political group?

No. SGM has never had any political or religious affiliation. Our main function is as a social vehicle for gay men in the area. Part of our philosophy is that we should remain informed about what is happening in our communities, our area, our states, this country, and the world. In that respect, we sometimes discuss matters that may be political in nature so that our members are aware of what is going on around them. We also invite a variety of guest speakers to share their ideas and views with us. Inviting these speakers and allowing them to speak does not lend endorsement to their ideas or issues.

The emphasis of SGM is social. Check our meeting schedule and you'll get the idea!
