President’s Message for July

Summer greetings!

Unlike most President’s Messages, this one comes in advance of the monthly board meeting. Therefore, I shall have to wait until next month to report on any earth-shattering news to come out of this month’s deliberations. As always, board meetings are open to the membership, so feel free to attend and see your elected board in action.

We have a busy summer in store for you. Next weekend is our annual Sunset Cruise on Sunday, July 22. Tickets have been selling fast, so I urge you not to wait till the last minute. For one thing, the member discount disappears the day of the cruise when all tickets will be $30. Then, our annual Picnic in the Park is scheduled for Saturday, August 4. Jay has reserved the rotunda on Four Tree Island for the whole afternoon, after which we’ll migrate to Prescott Park to see the 8:00 showing of The Sound of Music.

I have been enjoying our various excursions to Ogunquit—some organized, some impromptu. These off-Monday-night events are a great way for SGM members to get to know one another even better. And the Fun List is a great way to get a message out to all subscribers. Just send a message to (if you receive Fun List messages, then you are permitted to send). All we ask is that you keep the messages short: text-only, no large graphics. Those who have dial-up access thank you.

Finally, I have one last follow-up to my Member Spotlight on June 18. I had intended to get my website ready for you just a day or two afterwards, but due to various conflicts it wasn’t until early July that the SGM page (demystifyingprosperity.com/sgm) was finally ready. I sent a short message out on the Fun List advising you of this; for everyone else, this is your official notice. One of the reasons for my delay is that yet another network marketing opportunity presented itself, and I wanted to be able to include that in my list of recommendations. You can read about it on the website.
